The Maths Curriculum focuses on

Working Mathematically:

Questioning, Applying Strategies, Communication, Reasoning and Reflecting

Across the 5 strands:

Number, Pattern & Algebra, Data, Measurement, Space & Geometry

To develop these skills in Mathematics, the students are given a variety of experiences which include the chance to work by themselves or in small groups; with "hands on" experiences and formal written work.

Making 3D shapes gave these students a "hands on" experience of the properties of a cube from the Space & Geometry strand.
